In developing the leading brand strategy for the Smiltene Municipality, we used a wide variety of research and analysis methods and sources, starting with surveys for the residents, group work sessions and media monitoring, ending with modeling the municipality's brand attributes, SWOT analysis, PEST analysis. We arrived at a new Smiltene brand positioning and a slogan “Smiltenes novadā sanāk” (“In Smiltene, we succeed/come together”). At the end of the project, we also developed the guidelines for introducing the brand and for monitoring how to start using the brand in practice and how to manage it.
